励志“勇哥”：从保安到大学讲师

A high-school dropout who taught himself while working to pay off family debts has made national headlines after graduating with a doctorate and landing a teaching job at a university in southern China.

一名高中辍学生边努力偿还家庭债务边自学成才，并最终获得博士学位，在中国南方一所大学担任教学工作，他的事迹成为了全国头条新闻。

Li Mingyong attributed his success to not being afraid to lose,and a determination to hit his target,Beijing Youth Dailyreported.

据报道，李明勇将自己的成功归功于不怕失败，并决心实现目标。

The 41-year-old,born in a remote village in Meitan county,Guizhou province,had to quit school at age 16–despite always being in the top three of his class–after family members fell ill and had to borrow money.

现已41岁的李明勇出生在贵州省湄潭县一个偏远的村庄，16岁时不得不退学-尽管他当时一直是班上前三位-因为他家人病倒后不得不借钱谋生。

In 1999,Li worked as a security guard at Guizhou Education University and,influenced by the campus atmosphere,decided to resume his studies.

到来1999年，李明勇在贵州教育大学担任保安，受校园气氛影响，决定恢复学业。

For about two years,he found time to study during school hours and continued after 11.30pm,when he was officially off duty.He was admitted to an associate degree course,which did not require full-time study,at the university’s Chinese department,taking the Higher Education Examinations for Self-taught Adults.

持续大约两年的时间，他抽空在别人的上课时间以及晚上11:30正式下班之后学习。其后，他自学并参加成人高等教育考试，被该大学中文系录取，参与不需要全日制学习的副学士学位课程。

He was admitted to a bachelor’s degree course two years later.

两年后，他被录取就读学士学位课程。

In 2007,Li was admitted to a master’s programme of aesthetics at Guizhou University,working part time as a tutor to support himself.

2007年，李明勇被贵州大学录美学硕士课程录取，兼职担任辅导员。

He went to Guizhou Education University to work as a tutor in the English department after graduation so that he could help with the family.

他毕业后去了贵州教育大学担任英语系的导师，因此可以赚钱帮助家人。

Li was admitted to a doctorate programme at Central China Normal University in 2015–after two failed tries–and graduated this summer.He chose to go back to Guizhou Education University,where his destiny was changed,to teach in the school of culture and media.

2015年，李明勇获得华中师范大学博士学位课程学习机会-经过两次尝试失败后获得的-并于今年夏天毕业。他选择回到改变他命运的贵州教育大学，在文化和媒体学院任教。
